Advice on UNSW entry requirements and program transfer

We will then pre-assess your qualification and advise if your qualifications meet UNSW entry requirements.  

Initial assessment of your qualifications will allow us to advise you the possibilities of direct entry, advanced standing or academic transfer to a particular UNSW degree program. If you are eligible, we will encourage you to submit an application and waive the application fee.

If you do not meet the specific UNSW program entry requirements, we will be able to advice on other articulation pathways to gain entry to your desired UNSW degree program.

Applying to study at UNSW requires careful planning, coordination of time and collation of documents.

Following advice on entry requirements and eligibility, we can:

·        Inform you precisely on the application procedures, documents required, and how they need to be verified

·        Go through the application form or online application facility, if required,

·         We will waive the application fee, if you are a competitive prospective applicant.

·        Submit your application electronically to UNSW Admissions. All you have to do is send your completed application to us in Vancouver BC. We will verify all your documents and make sure that they are sufficient and appropriate before sending it to UNSW.

·        Monitor and manage each application to ensure they are processed in a timely and appropriate way. This include managing any changes, including changes to programs, starting dates, deferral, further documentation that may be required and the acceptance process.

·        Contact key staff members at UNSW Admissions on your behalf to find out the status of your application and assist you resolve any problems during the application stage. All you need to do is to phone or email us rather than calling Australia at a different time zone.

·        Our services are intended to assist you:

1.      to make better sense of UNSW and related admission policies and procedures,

2.      have realistic expectations and navigate the stressful initial steps of getting there,

3.      minimize unnecessary cost and time by managing your application.

APPLICATION DEADLINES:

Semester 1 March intake: 30 October          

Semester 2 July intake: 30 April                  

* Please note that not all degree programs have a Semester 2 start date.

THE UNSW ACADEMIC YEAR

UNSW academic year is divided into two Semester/Semesters, each containing 12 weeks for teaching. Between the two Semesters there is a break of approximately six weeks, which includes a one-week study period, two weeks for examinations, and three weeks recess. There is also a short recess of one week within each Semester.

Semester 1(Northern Hemisphere Spring) commences on the Monday nearest 1 March and Semester 2 (Northern Hemisphere Fall) commences on the last week of July.

Semester timetables for Faculty of Medicine, the Australian Graduate School of Management and the Australian Defence Force Academy at the University College vary slightly.

The dates for each academic year are in the UNSW Handbooks and student diaries which are given to all international students at the time of enrolment.
